5.Common Software Issues and Solutions

Q: After deleting a printer from the "Manage Platform - Device Manager" , the deleted printer cannot be found even after refreshing the list.

 

A: In ShapeWare 2.0, clicking "Refresh" during the initial software use will display all available printers within the current network. However, once a printer is manually deleted, it will no longer reappear in the list during subsequent refreshes.

To re-add a printer, please click "Add Device" and manually enter the printer's IP address.

 

How to find the printer IP address (Ensure the printer and software are on the same wireless network):

 

Edge mini: Click "the Network Connection icon (on the right side of the interface) - WLAN CONFIG" to view the printer's IP address.

 

Edge E2 & Max: Click "SETTINGS - NETWORK - WIRELESS CONFIG" to view the printer's IP address.

 

Q: Why does the system prompt "Not closed, please try to fix or fill"?

 

A: This prompt indicates that the model has open boundaries (such as holes or open meshes). You can repair it using the following methods:

  1. Ensure that your ShapeWare 2.0 is up to date. You can verify this via "System Information - Check Version".

  2. Click the "Triangle Warning Icon" on the interface, and the software will automatically execute "Repair" and "Reconstruct".

  3. Alternatively, manually repair it via "Edit - Fix Holes & Rebuild".
